Privacy Policy

Effective and Last Updated: September 9, 2026

SunSpark Corp. (“SunSpark,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of customers, lighting professionals, representatives, contractors, distributors and visitors who interact with SunSpark and STARLET websites and digital services. This Privacy Policy explains the types of information we may collect, how we use and disclose it, the choices available to you, and how to contact us about privacy matters.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to sunsparkco.com and SunSpark-operated STARLET web experiences, including public product information, representative-finder functions, project-support forms, professional tools and related digital services that link to this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact information: name, business email address, telephone number, company, agency, distributor or professional affiliation.
  • Project and support information: project state or territory, product or application context, specification or sample requests, project questions, warranty inquiries and information contained in messages you submit.
  • Account and professional-service information: information associated with authorized SunSpark or STARLET professional accounts and project workflows.
  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, request timestamps and similar security or diagnostic information generated when a website is used.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: information necessary for security, authentication, preferences, session continuity and, where enabled, aggregate website analytics.
  • First-party attribution information: limited campaign or referral information associated with an authenticated SunSpark or STARLET link or QR interaction.

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, financial account credentials, health information or other highly sensitive personal information through general project-support forms unless SunSpark specifically requests that information for a lawful and necessary purpose.

3. Sources of Information

We may receive information directly from you; automatically from your browser or device; from an authorized representative, distributor or business partner involved in your request; and from service providers that support our website, communications, security or business operations.

4. How We Use Information

We use personal information for purposes that include:

  • responding to product, specification, project, sample and distributor-support requests;
  • connecting a project with the currently authorized STARLET representative for the applicable territory;
  • operating professional project and specification tools;
  • processing warranty and service requests;
  • maintaining website security, preventing abuse and diagnosing technical problems;
  • maintaining business records and complying with legal obligations;
  • improving SunSpark products, documentation, services and digital experiences; and
  • communicating about an existing inquiry, project or business relationship.

The STARLET Representative Finder uses the project state or district selected by the visitor. It does not require precise device geolocation to determine territory.

5. Disclosure of Information

SunSpark may disclose information when reasonably necessary to service providers that support website hosting, security, email delivery, communications, analytics, data storage or other business operations. These providers are expected to process information only for appropriate business purposes and subject to applicable contractual or legal requirements.

When you request representative or project support, information necessary to respond may be provided to the current authorized STARLET representative, agency, distributor or SunSpark personnel responsible for that territory or request.

We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process or governmental request; to protect the rights, security or property of SunSpark, our customers or others; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization or transfer of business assets, subject to applicable law.

6. Sale, Sharing and Advertising

SunSpark does not knowingly sell information submitted through its project-support or Representative Finder forms for monetary consideration.

If SunSpark engages in a practice that constitutes a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under applicable privacy law, we will provide the notices and choices required by that law. Where legally required, qualifying browser-based opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, will be treated as an applicable request to opt out of sale or sharing.

7. Cookies, Browser Signals and Third-Party Technologies

Our websites may use cookies or similar technologies for essential website operation, authentication, security, preferences and aggregate measurement. Service providers may receive device or usage information when their technology is used on our website.

Because the legacy “Do Not Track” browser signal does not have a single universally adopted technical or legal standard, our websites do not treat that signal alone as a universal privacy request. We honor legally recognized opt-out preference signals where applicable law requires them.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including project and customer support, warranty administration, business recordkeeping, security, dispute resolution and legal or regulatory requirements. Different categories of information may therefore have different retention periods.

9. Security

SunSpark uses reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, network or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and users should avoid sending confidential credentials or unnecessary sensitive information through general web forms.

10. California Privacy Rights

California residents may request information about SunSpark’s privacy practices. To the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act or another California privacy law applies to particular information or processing, eligible California residents may have rights that include requesting access to or information about personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of certain information, opting out of qualifying sale or sharing, limiting certain uses of sensitive personal information, and exercising privacy rights without unlawful discrimination.

Privacy requests may be initiated by emailing sales@sunsparkco.com with the subject “Privacy Request,” by calling 626-886-0887, or by writing to the address below. We may need to verify a request before fulfilling it. Where applicable law requires an additional request method, SunSpark will make that method available.

11. Children

SunSpark’s commercial and professional lighting services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13 through these services.

12. Third-Party Websites

Our websites may link to websites or services operated by third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and SunSpark is not responsible for the privacy practices of unrelated third-party websites.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, technologies or legal obligations change. The “Last Updated” date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
